What is this?
The Ultimate Participation Trophy is an edition of 100 trophies
ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd…Participant. The only contest is how fast you
can spend your money. First to buy gets first place.
How do I know what place I got?
You don’t know until you reach the finish line! By which we mean you
will find out when you receive your trophy. Your placement is not
revealed when you purchase.
How is the trophy made?
The trophy - designed by MSCHF and Tiffany - was handcrafted by
artisans using age-old silversmithing techniques at Tiffany's
hollowware workshop in Cumberland, Rhode Island.
Tiffany makes trophies?
Yes! In fact, Tiffany makes probably every notable US sports trophy
you can name for major championships including football, basketball,
baseball and more. Each piece of sports equipment in the Ultimate
Participation Trophy (including the horse) references a particular
Tiffany trophy.

Manifesto
For decades, Tiffany has made trophies for winners. Until now.
Participation trophies give form to a timeless older-generation
neurosis: kids these days are too soft and coddled!
Only those with exceptional skill, perseverance in the face of
adversity, teamwork, or other such qualities deserve trophies. To
offer trophies unearned makes a mockery of fair competition.
But life, alas, is not fair. One individual characteristic trumps all
others, be it talent or hard work: wealth. The primary predictor of
success for children is familial wealth, the key determinant of wealth
is luck, and the same elder generation bemoaning the theoretical
Participation Paradigm bears responsibility for wearing away any
existing semblance of economic meritocracy.
